Every Child a Reader
When: 03/02/2012 (All day!)
Details:
The Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County is once again partnering with the Kiwanis Club of Bradenton for the Every Child a Reader program. This 2nd annual event will be held in conjunction with Read Across America day on March 2nd. This is a program in which community leaders visit early learning facilities (first thing in the morning) throughout the county to read a book to the classrooms containing 3-5 year olds. Each child in these classrooms will receive his or her own copy of the book to take home and read with their family.
If you are interested in participating in this event, please complete this form and return it to the ELC by February 10th. The pilot program last year was very successful, so sign up quickly as the number of books distributed is limited. Last year there were 52 volunteers reading to 53 classrooms and approximately 750 books were distributed. For more information, please email or call Tina Trivers at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 757-2900 x 243.
