A Message from the Chief Executive Officer
This past year, the Coalition continued to grow significantly in terms of its programs, its staff, and most importantly – its positive community impact.
The Coalition was once again nominated for the prestigious Tampa Bay Business Journal Non-Profit of the Year award. Having won the award in 2015, and having been chosen as a finalist in 2016, I am very happy and proud to announce that ELC Manatee was selected once again as one of three finalists out of the many nominations throughout the Tampa Bay Metropolitan Area for 2017.
This is fantastic recognition of the work that we do, and something all of us are very proud of.
We embarked on several new programs over the year, all of which are explained in more detail throughout this website. ELC Manatee continues to partner with many agencies and organizations on various initiatives that help local children, and we have a key voice as part of The Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading.
The ground work has also been laid, and the program developed, for assigning unique identifier numbers for children, which will allow the Coalition to track the significance and outcomes of all our programs.
Our family magazine NEXTGEN, now in its third year, continues to grow in strength and is one of the best educational information resources for all families in Manatee County.
Finally, I wish to express my sincere appreciation to our volunteer Board of Directors, many of whom left this year due to term limits. We thank them for their years of valuable service. And I want to especially thank the Coalition staff, whose dedication to quality early care and education for all of Manatee County’s children is immeasurable.
I look forward to 2018 as we keep working diligently each day to ensure success for Manatee County’s children and families.
As always, if any of our team can be of any assistance please click on the links on this website our call us directly at 941-757-2900.
